Micah 6:8
He has told you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
One of OneTribe’s core values is compassion. In our city we are faced with many injustices, that include poverty and various kinds of oppression and inequality. The church is committed to and passionate about upholding a biblical view of social justice. We believe it is a biblical command to follow, as well as a privilege to be a part of restoring what God has intended to be just and right in the city of Nairobi.
Biblical justice calls us to do righteousness (tzedakah). This includes treating people with the God-given dignity they deserve as people made in his image, no matter their age, race, tribe, gender or abilities. Doing justice (mishpat) calls us to reach out to people being taken advantage of, advocate for the vulnerable, and fight for change of unjust social structures that may put others at a disadvantage. (Micah 6:8, Jeremiah 22:3, Genesis 1:27, Genesis 18:19)
